I had a very inspiring conversation on Sunday morning with my friend, and fellow Albertan, Jeff over a plate of bacon and eggs at Phil’s.  (Note: If it says “Any Style” then don’t tell me I can’t have my eggs deviled.)  As is generally the case, the topic turned to Liberals and why they are so quick to believe the ludicrous assertions their leaders lay before them.  Yeah, we had some laughs.

Michael Ignatieff is threatening to force an election.  The earliest he’s said he could is June 12.  The smart money says that won’t happen, but if the economy continues to perform better and there’s a danger we could have moved from recession to recovery, he may have to play the election card soon for fear that Canadians will Read the rest of this entry »

The Conservatives have unleashed their latest batch of attack ads. Obviously, this crop is aimed at the re-Canadian Micheal Ignatieff. Truthfully, I think these are a waste of money since only one of the four parties would attempt to spring an election. There’s no doubt in my mind that the Liberals would win at least a minority this summer, but for that to happen the Tories would have to lose a house vote on EI. Good luck getting the NDP or the Bloc to both vote with the Liberals on that one. Anyway…
