New Thinker vs. Old Medium

The Current Coincidence(s)

I have little to add today. Pardon me, but I’m having a hard time getting excited about Ben’s dad taking the stand at the Oliphant Inquiry. Elephant Inquiry… count me in. But this… Now Conrad Black is getting some more court action. This is my junior coincidence of the day. I wonder if Lord Blizzack will get more play in the press than the 18th Prime Minister of our country over the next few days. There’s no doubt in my mind that the Liberals would win at least a minority this summer, but for that to happen the Tories would have to lose a house vote on EI. Good luck getting the NDP or the Bloc to both vote with the Liberals on that one. Anyway…

It’s upsetting that the Tories are trying to make “cosmopolitan” a dirty word in these ads. Until now, the word to me is nothing more than a cocktail I refuse to drink for fear that Read the rest of this entry »
